Check your MT4/MT5 version

On MetaTrader4 (MT4) / MetaTrader5 (MT5), you can check the version, build, and last update to see if your MT4/MT5 app is up to date. The bigger the number of the version and the build, the newer it is.

Here we'll look over the steps on how to check the version of the MT4/MT5 app.

Click "Help" in the menu and select "About...".

When an update is available, MT5 will notify you when you boot it up. Click the "Restart" button to update and reboot the MT5 program.
