Check trade history

You can check past trade history from the "History" tab in the MetaTrader5 (MT5) Toolbox. By default, it'll show your trade history for the past month. You can also change the settings and browse all trade history right from the beginning. Here we'll take a look at how to check your trade history on MT5.

Step 1

Click the "History" tab in the Toolbox. You will see your past trade history.

Position type: sell or buy.

To show more items in the "History" tab, right-click in the Toolbox and hover the pointer over "Columns" to choose the items you wish to add.

Step 3

To change the period for the history, choose a period on the context menu.

If you need annual account statements to file your taxes, set the period that the tax return covers. For example, if you wish to file your taxes for 2020, specify the period as January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020.
