El Dólar neozelandés (NZD) ha mostrado resiliencia en comparación con su contraparte australiana (AUD), ya que los mercados ven menos riesgo de aranceles para Nueva Zelanda. A pesar de la postura moderada del RBNZ - potencialmente entregando hasta 75pb en recortes - el NZD se comporta como una versión de menor beta del AUD en respuesta a los titulares comerciales, señalan los analistas de FX de ING Francesco Pesole y Chris Turner.

El NZD se protege mejor que el AUD en medio de riesgos arancelarios

"Los mercados han consolidado la opinión de que el dólar neozelandés no está tan expuesto a los aranceles como el AUD. Eso se debe a la mayor dependencia de Australia de la demanda de China. Nueva Zelanda exporta más que Australia a EE.UU. en términos de PIB (2.2% frente a 0.9%), pero ambos países solo fueron afectados por la tasa arancelaria base del 10% incluso antes de la pausa de 90 días."

"La Reserva del Banco de Nueva Zelanda sigue muy abierta a recortar tasas nuevamente. Esperamos ya sea 50pb o 75pb de alivio adicional, con una inclinación hacia 75pb ya que el Banco ha mostrado mucho más enfoque en el crecimiento que en la inflación."

"Las tasas a corto plazo no están afectando mucho al FX de todos modos. Esperamos que el NZD continúe cotizando como una versión de menor beta del AUD cuando se trata de titulares comerciales."
