You can save various settings (colors, indicators, etc.) as templates in MetaTrader5 (MT5). Templates saved in the "Templates" folder will be displayed in the menu list, allowing you to quickly access them with a single click. Here, we'll look at how to save templates in the "Templates" folder of MT5, how to apply a saved template to a chart, and how to remove saved templates.
Click "Charts" in the menu. Hover the pointer over "Templates" and select "Save Template".
Right-click on the chart. Hover the pointer over "Templates" and select "Save Template".
The template files will be automatically saved to "Templates" folder in the folder where MT5 was installed. Give the template a file name while keeping it in the "Templates" folder and click "Save".
By being saved in the "Templates" folder, the template will be listed in the template menu. If you save it outside the "Templates" folder, it won't be displayed in the menu.
To apply a template saved in the "Templates" folder to another chart, click "Charts" in the menu. Hover the pointer over "Templates" and select the template to apply.
Right-click on the chart. Hover the pointer over "Templates" and select the template to apply.
To remove a template from the "Templates" folder, hover the pointer over "Remove Template" in the template menu and select the template you wish to delete.
In the confirmation pop-up, click "Yes".
