On MetaTrader4 (MT4) / MetaTrader5 (MT5), you can save various settings (colors, indicators, etc.) as templates. Templates saved in the "templates" folder will be displayed in the menu list, allowing you to quickly access them with a single click.
Here we will look at how to save, apply, or remove templates on MT4/MT5.

Templates are available from the menu or chart.
Click "Charts" in the menu. Hover the pointer over "Template" and you will see the template menu.
Right-click on the chart. Hover the pointer over "Template" and you will see the template menu.
To save a template, click "Save Template" on the template menu while keeping the chart with your preferred settings opened.
The template files will be automatically saved to the "templates" folder in the folder where MT4 was installed. Give the template a file name while keeping it in the "templates" folder and click "Save".
By being saved in the "templates" folder, the template will be listed in the template menu. If you save it outside the "templates" folder, it won't be displayed in the menu.
To apply a template saved in the "templates" folder to another chart, choose the template from the template menu.
To remove a template from the "templates" folder, hover the pointer over "Remove Template" in the template menu and select the template you wish to delete.
In the confirmation pop-up, click "Yes" and the template will be removed.
