Display:
Maximum Floating Loss Recorder displays profit and loss and maximum floating loss for a given period on the chart, along with open positions at that time and daily performance. Reviewing past data is also easy with notification and CSV logging options.
Features
Review P&L and max floating loss for any period
The Summary window shows P&L, maximum floating loss, its timestamp, and the open volume and number of open positions at the time of maximum floating loss for a selected period.
Max floating loss represents the largest gap between your account balance and equity during the period, providing a clearer picture of the maximum unrealized loss you were exposed to while trading.
Track daily performance
Compare your daily P&L and max floating loss in the Daily Performance window to spot your best-performing day as well as the day with the highest floating loss.
Long/short view of maximum floating loss
Enable long/short display to view max floating losses for long and short positions separately. This helps identify which position type carried a larger floating loss.
Customize the calculation scope
The calculation scope can include all trades or be customized by symbols and magic numbers. When trading multiple symbols or using EAs, narrowing the scope helps you focus on the relevant data.
Notifications and CSV logging supported
Notifications and CSV logging are available for P&L and max floating loss data. Configure when to log data and how to receive notifications in the settings. Notifications deliver P&L and max floating loss based on your preferences, while CSV logging can save the on-screen data as a file.
About CSV files
When CSV logging is enabled, files are saved in the MPLT folder inside the MT4/5 Files directory. Access the files from MQL4/Files/MPLT (MT4) or MQL5/Files/MPLT (MT5). Please note that deleting CSV or snapshot files may result in the loss of historical logs.
How to install
To use the line copy indicator, install the "[Myforex] Max Floating Loss Recorder" file on MetaTrader4/MetaTrader5.
Step 1
Click "File" from the menu bar at the top of MetaTrader4/MetaTrader5 and choose "Open Data Folder".
Step 2
After opening the data folder, double-click the folder "MQL5 (MQL4 for MetaTrader4)" in it to open it.
Step 3
Double-click to open "Indicators" folder in the MQL5 file.
Step 4
Save the "[Myforex] Max Floating Loss Recorder" in the "Indicators" folder.
Step 5
Once the file is in the folder, right-click "Indicators" in the Navigator and choose "Refresh" from the displayed menu.
Step 6
After checking that the line copy indicator is shown in the "Indicators" of the Navigator, apply it to a chart by double-clicking or dragging and dropping.
If you can't see the Navigator window
Go to the menu bar and select "View" → "Navigator". Alternatively, press Ctrl+N to show or hide the Navigator window.
Step 7
Refer to the "How to set up" page to make further settings in the "Inputs" tab, then click "OK". Once the Maximum Floating Loss Recorder is applied to the chart, the summary and daily performance windows appear, showing P&L, max floating loss, and other data.
If the indicator can't be added to a chart
Verify that the indicator is saved in the Indicators folder and that the file name has not been changed. If it still doesn't appear after refreshing the Navigator window, restart MT5 and try again.
How to set up
After applying the indicator to the chart, set the parameters according to your style.

Changes are not applied
If the display does not reflect your changes, check the symbols/magic numbers, aggregation filter, calculation interval, panel width, and other related settings. If text is cut off, adjust the panel width and font size.
